What is the typical design service life of charging cable assemblies for new energy vehicles, and what factors affect their lifespan?

1. Mechanical stress: Excessively small bending radius, repeated dragging or crushing may cause damage at the cable-gun strain relief area and harm CP/PP signal wires.
2. Jacket material: TPU features better abrasion resistance, weather resistance and low-temperature flexibility than conventional TPE, making it more suitable for outdoor and extreme cold environments.
3. Thermal load: Long-term overload and connector temperature rise accelerate insulation aging; temperature monitoring helps reduce such aging risks.
4. Environmental degradation: UV radiation, thermal cycling, salt spray and oil contamination degrade the mechanical properties of the jacket.
5. Assembly workmanship: Terminal crimping quality, strain relief structure, routing and shielding of CP/PP control wires directly affect the durability of the connector end.
DEGSON charging gun assemblies are designed and validated in accordance with the above standards to accommodate long-term operation across multiple scenarios.
