What routine inspection and maintenance are required for EV charging cables?

Routine maintenance should include: ① do not pull, twist, crush or sharply bend the cable, and always grip the connector handle when plugging or unplugging; ② after use, loosely coil the cable (avoid tight binding) and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, high-temperature sources and sharp objects; ③ clean the sheath with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth—do not use abrasive or corrosive chemicals; ④ periodically inspect the outer sheath for cuts or cracks, connector pins for deformation or corrosion, and sealing rings for hardening or loss of elasticity. If any abnormality is found, take the cable out of service immediately and have it assessed by the manufacturer or qualified personnel; unauthorized repair or modification is not permitted.
