If the power suddenly goes out during charging, will the charging connector automatically resume charging after power is restored?

Whether charging automatically resumes depends on the charging station's control logic and the vehicle BMS (Battery Management System) settings. The charging connector itself, as a connecting component, does not have independent decision-making capability:

1. AC slow charging: When power fails, the CP signal is interrupted and the vehicle BMS stops the charging request. After power is restored, the charging station re-sends the CP handshake signal, and most vehicles will automatically resume charging. However, some models require the user to re-plug or confirm on the vehicle interface;
2. DC fast charging: After a power outage, communication is lost and both the charging station and vehicle enter a safe shutdown state. After power is restored, charging usually needs to be restarted by swiping a card or scanning a code — automatic resumption is not standard, which is a safety-oriented design;
3. Vehicles with scheduled charging: After power restoration, they may continue according to the original schedule or require re-triggering, depending on the vehicle settings.

Recommendation: For important charging scenarios (such as off-peak nighttime charging), enable the "auto-resume after power outage" function in the vehicle app (if available), and confirm the charging status after power is restored. DEGSON charging connectors support stable CP/PP handshake and recovery, enabling reliable charging continuity when paired with charging stations.
