What flame retardancy ratings are required for charging connector housings and cable materials?
1. Housing material: Typically made of flame-retardant engineering plastics (e.g., PA, PC/ABS alloy), required to meet UL 94 V-0 rating — self-extinguishing within 10 seconds after removal from the flame, with no flaming drips igniting underlying cotton;
2. Cable jacket: TPU/TPE jacket materials must comply with IEC 60332-1 single vertical flame test; some high-specification products also pass IEC 60332-3 bunched cable flame test;
3. Insulation material: Internal insulation layers also require flame retardancy, commonly using XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) or flame-retardant TPE to ensure no molten dripping at high temperatures.
All DEGSON charging connector housings use UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant materials, and cable jackets pass IEC 60332 related flame tests, ensuring charging safety at the material level.
